Despite the grand scale of the city and the legendary traffic which it can generate, Los Angeles is a very different animal from other cities in North America. No one ever seems to be in a great hurry here, and while the place is certainly not dull, it also lacks something of an edge and excitement that places like New York, Miami, or Chicago have. Southern California! A different world.
